“Nobody's Story” by Charles Dickens is a story about a man called Nobody. He is a lower-class, hard-working individual who needs to work tirelessly every month to survive. Nobody lives in a large, busy city near a river. Nobody pays the Bigwig family to manage him and his affairs, as he does not have the time. Nobody’s house is different from the house of the Bigwig family: it is bare, shabby, but dear to him. Nobody and his family are poor and lead hard lives: the wife looks older than she is, and her hands show signs of hard labor, while the children are underdeveloped. Nobody wants his children to learn and know more than he does. While the Bigwigs argue about whether they should teach Nobody’s children, the children fade away due to their ignorance.
